Spring Table Settings We Love

Spring and Summer are the perfect time to host large parties. Being able to open your outdoor spaces to guests makes even the smallest homes large enough to house a great deal of people. Decorating for casual get-togethers can prove to be a challenge though! You want it to feel casual, like this is how your house looks everyday, but you also don’t want to just throw out a few paper plates and call it a day. We have found a few easy-to-do place settings that are perfect for a casual lunch or dinner party.

1. This place setting feels upscale because it includes a gold rimmed plate, but if you are unfortunately lacking in this area, your usual dinner plates will suffice. The casual and easy element of this setting is in the fact that the napkin is a simply patterned paper napkin! So even if you don’t own a set (or a large enough set) of cloth napkins, pairing a paper napkin with a real plate gives you virtually the same effect.
2. If you are having a more intimate group of people and have enough cloth napkins, this setting is a great idea! It is simple and easy to throw together but will give off the feeling that you put in the extra effort. Finding a few flowers from  your garden or buying a bouquet that matches your napkins is the only effort you truly have to put in to make your table Springtime ready!
3. This setting is great for parties that include children or buffet style meals. Putting the napkins and all the utensils your guests will need inside the glass makes it easy for them to carry to their seats with a plate full of food. You can use your cloth napkins if you wish but paper napkins are a great alternative in this setting!

No matter what size of gathering you are having, a place setting gives the illusion that you put in the extra effort. These options are great for whatever style of get-together you are hosting and won’t break the bank (or a sweat) putting together!
