Dried Flowers and Sticks:
Often, dried flowers get a bad rap, but the truth of the matter is that these have their own unique beauty and texture to them. Picking deeper colors – think reds, oranges, and golden yellows – will keep you in the fall palette while still dressing up the tables and windowsills in your home. Also try adding a few twigs or sticks to the mix for even more added texture!
Painted Wood Signs:
While these can really be appropriate for anytime of year, wood signs give you the perfect opportunity to play up the fall theme by choosing signs with sayings like “Happy Fall” or “Give Thanks.” Try visiting a local street fair or hobby shop to locate some of these signs, but if you can’t find any, no worries! They are simple to make on your own and if you do make them yourself then you can craft whatever type of message you want for the season!
Cotton Wreaths:
Are you the type of person that always enjoys a nice wreath on the front door? If so, a cotton wreath is a style that you may not have thought of before. It’s neutral color fits perfectly with other fall decor and as an added bonus, it can carry right into winter as the puffy cotton balls call to mind the snowflakes and winter to come!
Painted Jar Vases:
Here’s a great idea for those who love to get crafty. Find some clear mason jars and paint the interior of the jars with each of the letters spelling out “Fall.” This is a fun way to incorporate text and florals because after your jars are finished drying you can toss in some of those dried flowers and branches that we mentioned above!
